DRIFTING AWAY

In this world today we are drifting away,
From the Christian values we had, to now moral decay.
We have slammed the door in the face of the Lord.
For that we will all have to pay.
We will have a lot to answer for one day.
Why not change now instead of waiting until it's too late,
If we don't, God's wrath will be our fate.
However, we can turn around and start doing what's right,
By letting God back in and let Him be the light.
God is so patient, forgiving, and kind,
All you have to do is change your mind.
Even though we have turned our back on Him,
He still wants us to do away with our sin.
There is still hope for this land,
His name is Jesus,
Let's take Him by the hand,
Lest we die in sinking sand.
